TRAILERSTEAD TRUST STANDARD

How we decide what is worth buying.

Trailerstead is designed to reduce unnecessary RV purchases, not maximize the number of things in your cart.

01

Research is labelled honestly

Product assessments use published manufacturer or retailer specifications and original fit analysis. Unless explicitly documented, products have not been hands-on tested. Exact model, tradeoffs, source and review date accompany verified selections.

02

Useful links do not require commission

Trailerstead may link directly to an exact retailer or manufacturer product page without an affiliate relationship. Such links are labelled non-affiliate and do not imply a partnership. Generic searches are not presented as exact product recommendations.

03

Fit comes first

Trailer type, electrical service, camping style, dimensions and the actual problem being solved come before retailer availability.

04

Evidence is separate from commission

A product can be researched or shortlisted even when Trailerstead has no affiliate relationship with the retailer. Commission does not determine rank.

05

Prices have a freshness label

A live API price is shown as live. A manually checked price is shown as verified with a date and expires automatically. Otherwise Trailerstead shows a planning range or sends you to the retailer to check.

06

Sometimes the answer is “do not buy yet”

If fit is uncertain or the product solves the wrong problem, Trailerstead can tell you to verify compatibility or skip it.

07

Affiliate links are labelled

Trailerstead may earn a commission from qualifying purchases. That helps support the site without changing the recommendation logic.
